Stephen is the firm’s Managing Partner. He specialises in insurance law, environmental law and business start-ups.
He founded his first business (an MGA underwriting environmental insurance for Allianz AG) at the age of 29. He chaired and co-founded Argyll – the leading provider of environmental reports to the UK’s legal profession.
Described by Legal 500 as one of the UK’s most commercially minded lawyers, he has chaired and acted as in-house counsel for insurance and consulting businesses in the UK, mainland Europe and the US.
His clients include major insurance companies, MGAs, large commercial and industrial landowners, NGOs and start-ups in the tech and data sectors.
Stephen is a former Chair and Honorary Member of the UK Environmental Law Association. He is a Visiting Fellow at Birkbeck’s Centre for Innovation Management Research, University of London.
