We have been providing high-calibre legal, risk management and business advice to insurers, entrepreneurs and other businesses, since 2004.

Our clients include leading insurers and MGAs. We have 25 years’ experience providing legal counsel to construction and environmental MGAs in the City of London market, advising on a wide range of legal matters. We also provide strategic business advice to help insurers with new product development, business strategy and change management. We have developed new policies that have generated tens of millions of pounds for insurers.

We have an unparalleled track record in starting-up new businesses in the insurance, environmental data, tech and consulting sectors. We have chaired new ventures, acted as business strategists and non-exec directors from origination of the business idea through to exit. We provide legal advice to start-ups throughout their journey. Our Managing Partner is a visiting fellow and teaches entrepreneurship to international Masters students at Birkbeck Centre for Innovation Management Research, University of London.

We also act for UK and international businesses exposed to complex environmental liabilities, including landowners with contaminated sites, operators with environmental permits and waste management facilities. We help these businesses to de-risk their sites and operations, often using a unique blend of legal expertise, scientific and engineering solutions, as well as financial and insurance products. Our Managing Partner is one of the UK’s most experienced environmental lawyers, and is a former chair of the UK Environmental Law Association.

An important part of our work is Pro Bono. We have a long-standing involvement with the UK Environmental Law Association (our Managing Partner having acted as Chair and Vice-Chair), and the Castle Debates, an environmental education initiative.
